Adoptive Parent Regulations
Age & Marital Status
Prospective adoptive parents must be age 25 years and up.
Married a minimum of 3 years.
No restrictions on the number of previous marriages.
Household
There are no noted restrictions on the number of children residing in the home.
Must show proof of financial stability.
Processing Time & Travel
Application to Placement: Anywhere from 12 – 18 months.
One prospective adoptive parent is required to travel abroad to pick up the child.
Three trips, each consisting of 5-7 days.
