Adoptive Parent Regulations
Age & Marital Status
Prospective adoptive parents must be between the ages of 25 to 50 years old.
Prospective adoptive parents 51 to 55 are eligible to adopt special needs or older children.
Married a minimum of 3 years.
Previous marriages are acceptable
Household
Prospective adoptive families may adopt a toddler if there is 1 or no children presently in the home. Families with 2 or more children in the home may adopt older or special needs children.
Processing Time & Travel
Application to Placement: Anywhere from 18 – 24 months.
Prospective adoptive parents are required for traveling abroad to pick up the child. One trip with an average stay is 4 - 5 weeks.
