Adoptive Parent Regulations
Age & Marital Status
Prospective adoptive parents must be
between the ages of 25 and 50 years old.
Married a minimum of 3 years.
No restrictions on the number of
previous marriages.
Both prospective adoptive parents must
be physically fit and mentally stable.
Household
The prospective adoptive family must have no more than 3 children residing in the home.
Processing Time & Travel
Application to Placement:
Anywhere from 12 – 18 months.
One prospective adoptive parent is
required to travel abroad to pick up the
child.
Two trips with an average of 5 – 7 days
each or one trip of 21 days.
